Kentucky Venues We LOVE

I am officially back in Kentucky and ready to capture all your beautiful Kentucky events and seasonal family sessions! And it is SO good to be back. Kentucky has always been “home” to me but I moved around a lot and I’m excited to settle down here. Now that I’m back after almost 4 years away I’m reviewing some of my weddings from my time here in Kentucky and wanted to share some of my favorite wedding venues! In no particular order here are some we loved, and a brief reason why!

Hemlock Springs - Red River Gorge Wedding Venue

There are so many reasons to love Hemlock Springs! For starters, of course, the location! For nature lovers, lovers of the outdoors and all things adventurous, Red River Gorge is the place to go! I’ve had brides from all over the country coming to have their weddings at the Gorge. The owners of Hemlock Springs created an absolutely stunning Venue with gorgeous views all around, a bridal getting ready suite that is to die for and a beautiful barn with a cozy yet modern feel for receptions. Everyone who works there is so friendly and so intent on making their brides dreams come true.

Ashford Acres Inn - Cynthiana Kentucky

Nestled in Central Kentucky is this beautiful historic home that’s been turned into an Inn and later on a Wedding Venue. You can see pieces of Kentucky history throughout this gorgeous venue. Recently they added on an absolutely stunning white barn for receptions that gives you light from all angles. But what impresses me most about Ashford Acres is the full-service staff that is committed to their customer service. Every time I’ve been there, I could see they truly care about their guests and brides. From providing drinks and snacks during the getting ready process, to little handwritten notes as a special touch. You can’t go wrong with Ashford Acres! And I absolutely love their little cottage you can rent with a private area for your first night as a married couple!

Buffalo Trace Distillery - Frankfort, Kentucky

Did you know you can get married at this gorgeous historical distillery? It’s not just for tasting and tours, you can get amongst these gorgeous old buildings for an historic industrial feel to your wedding. Buffalo Trace has multiple sites they offer for their ceremonies and receptions and SO many cool backdrops for your wedding portraits. It’s an absolute must if you’re looking for a Kentucky vibe to your wedding day. One little fun thing they offer is tours of the grounds for your guests while you’re taking your pictures, so you don’t have to worry about entertaining them.

That’s the end of my list for now, stay tuned for Part 2!
