Carly + Andy. Married

Its hard to find the write words to describe how momentous this day was, to describe how perfect in every single was rhis union was. But to start I’ll share a quote from my instagram post of one of the sneak peaks from this wedding. “You know those people who just radiate light. Who walk into a room and the entire room is instantly lighter and happer because of their presence. The kind of friends where you can hang out for ten minutes or ten hours and you walk away feeling more positive about everything in your life. That is Carly. From the moment I met her, her smile was instantly contagious and her joy always had me walking away feeling like a new person. It was no surprise to me that on her wedding day that the light just followed her around and created a glow around her because thats just who she is, a light to all who know her. This laughter and joy is just who she is and I love that I was able to capture just tiny ounce of that joy on her wedding day”

I met Carly and Andy through our church youth group where my husband was a pastor at the time. We were all youth leaders and had a big leader retreat one weekend where we stayed up late and played games and got to know each other. A couple days later a few of us leaders took 20 or so kids to CIY youth camp for a week and I had the pleasure of watching Carly and Andy who were only dating at the time. Kids naturally gravitated towards both of them because of their loving and caring hearts, they selflessly gave their all to these kids for a week and poured out their hearts to help these teens through some pretty big stuff. I loved getting to spend late nights goofing around with Carly and loved watching her and Andy interact on our trip. I knew a wedding day wasnt too far around the corner. A few months later I got to do some couples photos for them and 1.5 years later I got to shoot their wedding on perfect October day in Kentucky.

I love these two endlessly and I’m so honored they chose me to capture their day. I think you’ll be able to tell from ALL the tears in these photos that everyone was pretty happy about this long awaited wedding
